Everlasting Star Jumps....

Right....so the I've posted the RGB's before (here) and they truely are a quality act, I recommend everyone to check them out (here and here), got a great sound. These two tracks are two great remixes, the original of the latter, "Star Jumps" being one of my straight up favourite tracks by these guys....So have a listen, let us know what you think and still no EP but expect more from these guys!

Simma Records just brought out this nice little collab EP which contains some pretty sweet remixes of the track Bill Eff did a little while ago called "Trouserflap" a wobbly little number to say the least and it has now been officially been released (beatport) with all the trimmings. Liiisten....

The Mightfools took this and added a whole nother level of wobble to the mix as they do so very well but with a sick breakdown and build up! This was always gonna be my favourite!

Hey folks. Right now I know its been along time since a post and this one won't be particularly long one but it's a start. We've finished finals and after having a bunch of posts deleted by the kind guys at Google we're back in action, suitably unemployed and therefore free to indulge you!

This post really is in the essence of bringing a smile to your faces and if you don't break into a contented little grin within the first 30 seconds of this song then you are officially dead inside, or stoic beyond any healthy means! The track is by Kidda who consistently brings us those great uplifting grooves. His most recent being the awesome track "Under The Sun", the remix of which by Herve (who subsequently has some great songs on his player at the mo) has been a massive hit, however another single of last years album is just truly sublime. Check it out. The album is called "Going Up" and is a must have accompaniment to this time of the year!

This is undoubtedly a sick tune and I'm not gonna lie but I heard the So Shifty remix long before I actually heard the original but either way its quality. Gotta love the way Will.I.Am embraces dance music and still waiting on this collaboration with Fedde Le Grande! Another quality fusion of the two genres can be seen with the heavy Don Diablo & Example "Hooligans" track, however clearly Dizzee Rascal has gone for the same approach and written and bangin' bassline but the shittest song. Shame.

Andy Duguid feat Leah - Wasted (Tiesto Mix)

I came across this by chance and I think it is a beautiful track with angelic vocals, especially if you have a good quality version for when the bass starts mellowly thumping away at around 30 seconds in. The rest of Andy Duguid's stuff on Mypspace is borderline cheesy. But depending on your mood, you can really appreciate electronic music that has been carefully crafted for the ears of a slightly corrupted angel.

I just came across these guys this morning and I can't hold in the amount that I love their music any longer, such a great sound. Beautiful synth, great 80's vibe, lots of cymbal, its just great!!! The RGB's. I'm not gonna do the whole music critique thing, not my style, just listen! "I still feel love", "Take Time" and the remix of "Up and Down".

Crazy Circus

I'm not gonna lie DJ Barletta, one half of Mansion, isn't one I turn to on a regular basis for ear pleasure but he does have this uncanny nack of remixing a current chart banger into something.....likeable. Before it was his adorably synthy edit of "Outta My Head" by Ashlee Simpson. I like it so deal with it.

Anyway he just recently put his hand to Britney's shocker "Circus" (check it out on his music player) and has transformed it into a wobbly bassline banger!

He's also put his hand to Lady GaGa's song "Just Dance" but I fear that this is one that is beyond salvaging....

TIGA - Mind Dimension

After some literary genius compared this tune to "a rusty robot with epic bowel movements", you would have thought it would deserve a listen, and listen you shall.

The oringinal track has a simple but effective beat, and bass that you could imagine creating by using some sort of sonic cheese grater on the lowest note of an old school casio keyboard set to 'cello'.

As YouTube very kindly removed the original Mind dimension video, I've replaced it with the one solitary link I can find. Unfortunately you are going to have to remove yourself from this page in order to wobble your ear drums to the beat:

Etienne De Crecy's as yet unreleased "Welcome" played live at Pukkelpop in 2008. This 'performance's' light show invokes the same feeling of awe that Daft Punk first bestowed upon us on their Alive tour in 2007. Yoda once said, "Size matters not".
Well in this case I think he is completely wrong.
Size is everything.

Just got in from work and went mental over Blatta & Inesha. Known about them for a bit now but there latest track "Where is it" is a beautifully in your face techy number (listen out for the sample!). Check it out on the myspace! There track "Step Off" with Congorock is equally amazing, instilling that raw sound the likes of Congorock and Bloody Beetroots do oh so well!

As this blog is not my life, I'm clearly late on posting about these guys but they are the new big name outta Italy and these guys are surely gonna turn alot more heads this year! They played some shows towards the end of last year and they'll be back in April 17th to play the Music Hall. One not to miss!
